The CRDP de l'académie de Paris and the cinema Escurial (Paris, XIII) are pleased to present Secondary School English teachers with teaching material comprising a DVD and a website.

The DVD CINE-V.O. Anglais [1] is entirely in English, and includes:

  • 10 video extracts from 3 films (Sweet and Lowdown, North by Northwest and The Navigators); the sound files of these extracts, downloadable on your MP3 player; stills from the films themselves and cinematographic resources.
  • Moreover, teachers have access to printable and downloadable teaching material, including an introduction to the cultural context, pedagogical tasks as well as many expanded themes.

The CINE-V.O. Anglais [1] website gives an overview of the contents of the DVD, and gives free access to one of the 10 CLASS FILES called "An Unexpected Turn of Events", on the  film Sweet and Lowdown by Woody Allen.

The DVD CINE-V.O. Anglais [1] can be purchased at the Teacher Resource and Document Centre (CRDP), Paris and can be read on a DVD player and/or a computer using Windows Media Player, Real Player, Quick time and other freeware.

All 3 films can be shown in their entirety for classes at your request, at the cinema Escurial Panorama, 11 Boulevard de Port Royal, Paris 13.
